Camping Safety Rules

Camping can be a great way to relax as a fun hobby that you can share with your family or friends. Only stay safe you can have a perfect camping trip. Following is some tips to keep you safe.

 

 

1. Campfire Safety

 

Don't build the fire under the trees or near the plant. Never leave it burning without someone watching. Never allow children near a fire or camp stove. Ensure that everyone present knows basic fire safety protocol, including how to build, how to stop and how to roll. Always keep a pail of water handy in case the fire gets out of hand.

 

2. Stay Away From Wild Animal

 

Camping in the wild means you're surrounded by many animals that are unfamiliar.  Never approach the wild animal, when you meet an animal, the most important is what you do when it happens, as your reactions can impact your safety. Not making enough noise, not getting close to their food source.

 

3. Keep Clean

 

Dirty dishes, leftover trash, or food left in your campsite could attract animals you don't want to mess with. Also the dirty can attract the mosquito and flies, if you don't want to ruin your trip, just keep your site clean.

 

4. Be Prepared

 

Before a camping trip, check the weather first, if a storm is on the way, stay home will be safe. Prepare enough food, water and the clothing you need. Research and learn about possible risks with the environment and your camping trip before you go.

 

5. Watch Out for Poisonous Plants

 

You won't never know what you will meet on your trip. It is important to know what poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac look like. Pack a first aid kit with your camping gear including anti-histamine like Benadryl and anti-itch cream or hydrocortisone cream in case of exposure.

 

 

Also, it is essential to tell your friends or families where you will be in case they need to find you.
